About Us

The owner of Classic Spares Recycling Ltd is motorcycle journalist Neil Murray.

Neil has been writing for the UK’s motorcycle press for nearly 40 years now, and he cut his teeth on the Japanese bikes of the 1970s and 1980s.

He frequently did restoration projects for journals such as Classic Bike and Classic & Motorcycle Mechanics and when he’d amassed a large number of left-over bits, having discovered that the easiest way to restore a nice running classic is to buy three and build one good one, he was startled to find that good used Japanese parts are in demand.

CSR Ltd specialises in Honda CB400 Fours, and Neil is probably one of the UK’s top experts on the model, but the company also supplies parts for other bikes as and when they appear.

We are also on eBay, under the username of bike-pusher. Checking our feedback should reassure you: CSR Ltd is a Top Rated Seller.

There are other sellers of parts for classic Japanese bikes, but a lot sell junk that is badly described, in poor condition, or not for the bike that it’s supposed to be. CSR Ltd really takes its reputation seriously: we don’t mess people about.

With expert knowledge

We are happy to service your SOHC Honda. These days, a lot of dealers refuse to touch bikes that are more than 20 years old and it’s hard to find a mechanic who knows how to set up points ignition system or operate an entirely manual, or semi-automatic cam chain tensioner.
